JOHANNESBURG - South Africa's teacher shortage is at an unprecedented scale, with the country needing to train thousands more educators than ever before.
A recent investigation by the Socio-Economic Policy Research group at Stellenbosch University, reveals a significant gap between the skills needed in classrooms and those being taught at teacher training institutions.
