WATCH | Hijacked Buildings | Public Works Dept reclaims properties in Cape Town

CAPE TOWN - Over 300 Public Works facilities across the country are unlawfully occupied.

Others are abandoned.

In Cape Town, the department has received court orders to evict residents from two locations, with plans to refurbish and potentially convert other facilities into social housing.

People living outside the Castle of Good Hope have until 17 October before they will be removed.
