JOHANNESBURG - One of the largest civil servants' unions, the PSA, has accepted the government's 7.5 percent wage offer.
It has been clear for a week now that the majority of public service unions would likely accept the deal, so today's news is a concrete step forward.
The 7.5 percent increase is significantly higher than the 4.7 percent the finance minister penciled for his budget.
At the same time, while 53 percent of the public service unions have accepted, not all unions are happy.
