JOHANNESBURG - Eskom board chairperson Mteto Nyati says the government is prioritising debt recovery.
Municipalities collectively owe the utility more than R70 billion.

Nyati says that municipalities are not handing over money to the utility and using it for other things.
He says the Electricity and Energy Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa is already engaging with the COGTA Minister on municipal debt.
