JOHANNESBURG - Some relief for South Africans as the Reserve Bank finally announces the much-needed interest rate cuts.

It's cut the repo rate by 25 basis points as predicted by many economists.

The repo Rate currently is now 8 percent, and the prime lending rate 11,5%.

The cut is the first time in four years.
