PRETORIA - The Competition Commission has approved the acquisition of the South African Petroleum Refineries refinery by the Central Energy Fund.

The deal includes Shell Downstream South Africa and BP Southern Africa assets at the refinery.  

Mineral and Petroleum Resources Minister, Gwede Mantashe, welcomed the deal.
