WATCH | Family, friends bid Mbongeni Ngema farewell

DURBAN - Friends and colleagues of Mbongeni Ngema gathered to pay their final respects to late playwright and producer.

He is honoured with a special provincial funeral category two that includes elements of the police's ceremonial honours.

Ngema died in car accident in the Eastern Cape last week on his way from attending a funeral.

The '!Sarafina' and 'Stimela SaseZola' creator used his exceptional artistic abilities to draw attention to the atrocities of apartheid.
