World toilet day | 2023 theme is accelerating change

JOHANNESBURG - Sunday, 19 November marked World Toilet Day.

The UN-led campaign encourages action to tackle the global sanitation crisis.

The campaign targets governments, companies, and organizations of all kinds, urging them to commit to the Water Action Agenda, announced at the UN 2023 Water Conference in March.

This year's theme is Accelerating Change.

The Water Research Commission and its partners have successfully matched local manufacturers with reinvented toilet technology innovators to eradicate water and sanitation problems in schools.
