Wine exports | 2023 called "a bad year for producers"

JOHANNESBURG - South African wine exports have fallen by 17 percent, to just over 300-million litres in 2023.

Wines of SA blames this on high inflation in key export markets which affected consumer spend.

Logistical challenges at ports also played a significant role but, apart from economic pressures, wine stocks levels normalised worldwide which also dampened exports.
