JOHANNESBURG - South Africa is open for investment, says Trade, Industry and Competition Minister Parks Tau. 

He was speaking on the sidelines of the recent UN General Assembly meeting held in New York.

Tau and his team say they are focusing on key pillars that will promote economic growth and employment.

This comes as the DA has pleaded for the national  minimum wage to remain unchanged.

The party submitted to the National Minimum Wage Commission that increasing the amount would create more unemployment.
