WESTERN CAPE - The Western Cape is likely to gain 800, 000 new residents by 2030.
This means it will need a 161 million litres more water per day.

And, while dams are full after heavy rains, that can be wiped out in one very dry season.
Authorities are now planning ahead by expanding water storage facilities, and finding more water sources.
