JOHANNESBURG - Two other high-profile politicians also appeared in court on various corruption charges today. 

They include former former National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula and Malusi Booi, DA's former Cape Town Human Settlements MMC.

In another big political story, the relationship between the ANC and its tripartite alliance partner, the South African Communist Party, is at the lowest level. 

The SACP says it is reevaluating its role in the 2026 local elections and the 2029 general elections.
