JOHANNESBURG - Getting into a university is a challenge for many students across the country. 

Public universities have limited space, leaving many without a place to study. 

As a result, some students are now forced to rethink their options at the last minute.

Registrar at University of the Witwatersrand, Carol Crosley said, "Students must be aware of the world around them because that where the careers will be focused on."
