JOHANNESBURG - Justice Minister Thembi Simelane has rejected reports she blocked the National Prosecuting Authority's access to the Zondo Commission database.

Simelane appeared before the Portfolio Committee on Justice and Constitutional Development to respond to these allegations.

During her response, Simelane said she did not know about the database as there had been no discussion about it.

Talking on this and the Basic Education Laws Amendment Bill that the President will sign into law amid contestation from the DA and others, is political analyst Mpumelelo Mkhabela.
