JOHANNESBURG - Thousands of pupils have already started the 2025 school year, but many others are yet to be placed.

And on Wednesday parents lined up outside district offices, desperate for help. 

But the provincial education department insists that they applied late.

Is the digital system letting them down?

Or are they to blame for leaving applications until the last minute?
