JOHANNEBESURG - The Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union, is calling for significant reforms within South Africa’s justice system. It's highlighted concerns over the outdated Criminal Procedures Act.
In a meeting last week, POPCRU proposed changes to police search and seizure protocols, as well as bail policies, which they say contribute to overcrowding in prisons.
POPOCRU President, Thulani Ngwenya discussed these issues with eNCA.
