JOHANNESBURG - The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse has released some explosive audio recordings.
They feature Ernest Khosa, chairperson of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme, and a representative of a service provider.
They reveal how service providers reportedly paid millions of rands in kickbacks to Blade Nzimande, the Minister of Higher Education and Training, and Khosa.
A further R1-million is said to have been given to the South African Communist Party.
We spoke to OUTA's investigations manager, Rudie Heyneke.
