JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa has signed the Second Presidential Health Compact at the Union Buildings this week.
The compact is a crucial step forward in South Africa's ongoing efforts to strengthen the national health system.
Organisations like BUSA and the South African Medical Association have refused to sign the compact citing concern over the current National Health Insurance plan.
Social Policy Special Advisory to the President, Dr Olive Shisana, spoke to eNCA.
