WATCH | Makana Water Crisis | Rhodes University plans own water treatment works

EASTERN CAPE - Rhodes University in the Eastern Cape says it's time to become self-reliant when it comes to water.

This as the Makana municipality has failed to supply water to residents for almost two weeks now.

The university marched  in protest to the town hall on Friday, demanding its taps be turned back on.

The municipality says it's not that there is no water, but it's a victim of sabotage.
