JOHANNESBURG - It's three months after the City of Joburg promised to reopen its main library in the CBD.
Calls to have the library reopen to the public have been going on since it closed back in 2021.

There have been petitions to allow people to use the facility's over a milion-and-a-half books and items.
On Saturday, civil organisations, including Outa and the Johannesburg Heritage Foundation, are picketing outside the building.
