In the last few days, two major events have cast doubt on the belief that efforts to fight crime are bearing fruit.

It's now been revealed that the Thembisa Hospital corruption ran into billions and on Saturday, the Health Minister detailed how lawyers 'looted' his department through fraudulent medico-legal claims.

Colette Ashton, an attorney who specialises in anti-corruption processes and integrity spoke to eNCA saying corruption is difficult to fight but there are countries that have successfully turned the tide.
