WATCH | Gupta extradition request denied

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa's request to extradite the Guptas has been denied by a court in the United Arab Emirates.

Justice Minister Ronald Lamola says he is shocked by the decision.

According to Lamola, South Africa's request was denied on a technicality.

Authorities are trying to engage with the UAE, as well as Interpol, in efforts to get the Gupta brothers arrested and returned to South Africa in connection with state capture.
