JOHANNESBURG -Gauteng will be launching new number plates in April.

That's according to Premier Panyaza Lesufi.

In keeping an eye on would-be criminals the Premier has launched over 6,000 CCTV cameras across the province, to help combat crime.

Lesufi says residents will see the cameras around business districts and schools, in townships and public areas.
