New measures to tackle poisoning cases

JOHANNESBURG - Food safety in and around schools has recently come under intense scrutiny. 

This after several pupils fell ill due to suspected food poisoning on school premises.

Along with rising concerns about unhealthy food choices, many parents and educators are calling for stronger regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of pupils.

In response, the Gauteng government is rolling out new measures to control the sale of food on and around school premises.
