JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa will have the last word on the vote for the closure of Israeli Embassy in South Africa.

This follows after the National Assembly passed an amended motion calling for the suspension of South Africa’s diplomatic relations with Israel.

Some 248 MPs voted in favour of the motion to close the Israeli embassy down.

AS total of 91 MPs mainly from the DA, ACDP and IFP, voted against the motion. But this does not mean the suspension will happen as the final decision still rests with the president.
