WATCH | Eastern Cape Floods | Demand for housing intensifies

EASTERN CAPE - It’s been over a week since the recent floods in the Eastern Cape claimed 10 lives and left thousands without homes. 

However, many affected people are still sheltering in community halls.

Those residents rebuilding their informal settlements say government is dragging its feet in building them permanent  homes.  

There over 120 informal settlements in the Buffalo City Metro.
