Well in South Africa at least.
The company announced it will be closing operations at the end of December in South Africa after its parent company filed for bankruptcy protection in the US.
Earl Tupper created Tupperware in the early 1940s in the US.
The plastic products to store food were lighter and less likely to break that traditional glass and crockery. It’s popularity soared.
