JOHANNESBURG - Police Minister Bheki Cele says he's angered by those who attempt to politicise serious crime.

He was speaking in Kwazakhele, in the Eastern Cape, following the murder of 8 people at a birthday party.

UPDATE | 8 dead in Gqeberha shooting

It's believed two gunmen opened fire killing 7 people instantly, with an 8th dying in hospital.

The deceased are between the ages of 20 and 64.

Three others were injured and rushed to hospital.
