JOHANNESBURG - The city of Cape Town is refusing to allow Dunoon fire victims to shelter in its community halls.
That’s the assertion of Deputy Human Settlements Minister Tandi Mahambehlala.
Some 600 people have been displaced by a Christmas morning fire at the Ekuphumleni informal settlement.
Some say they have been forced to sleep on the streets, while others are being housed at local churches.
