JOHANNESBURG - The ANC Youth League is demanding that spaza shops to be operated by South Africans.
They are also urging president Cyril Ramaphosa to urgently address the nation.

Pressure is mounting for a state of emergency to be declared following several deaths of children from suspected food poisoning from snacks bought at spaza shops.
