DURBAN, KZN - Safety and tolerance will be paramount when South Africans cast their votes on Wednesday.
In KwaZulu-Natal, provincial police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi says police will follow their security plan.
He briefed the media on Wednesday, ahead of the deployment to various parts of the province.
KwaZulu-Natal has a history of political violence and this year it's flagged as a battleground for votes.
