PRETORIA - Tensions are escalating between the State Information Technology Agency and the Public Servants Association over salary negotiations.
The PSA, one of the largest unions at SITA, is outraged by the body's decision to unilaterally implement a 5.2-percent salary increase while negotiations were ongoing.

The union had initially demanded a 12-percent increase, which was later adjusted to 8.8%, while SITA countered with a series of offers culminating in the 5.2% final offer.
