JOHANNESBURG - Numerous patients have reiterated broadcaster Tom London's account of the situation at Helen Joseph Hospital.

London's viral video paints a stark picture of broken infrastructure, severe shortages of basic necessities like running water and clean clothing at the facility.

Just last year the National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union held a protest demanding a wage increase, just as the hospital was addressing service delivery issues.
