US-Africa trade relations | US agrees to 10-year extension of AGOA

JOHANNESBURG - The US has agreed to extend the African Growth and Opportunities Act agreement for another 10 years.

It means over 30 African countries will keep duty-free exports to the American market.

AGOA is set to expire in September 2025, and the extension is dependent on congress approval.
