Urban decay | Inner city decay in Johannesburg

JOHANNESBURG - The Johannesburg Central Business District may still be a hive of activity today, but there's no doubt the shine has been lost in the City of Gold.

For the last three decades, a noticeable decline in businesses, residents and wealth has been apparent.

The affluence has gravitated towards the northern suburbs, leaving the city centre struggling with dilapidation, crime and neglect.
