Student funding | NSFAS faces massive appeals backlog

JOHANNESBURG - NSFAS has received over 90,000 appeals since April.

Students can lodge appeals if their funding is denied or cut off.

The problem is that there are only between 80 and 86 employees to deal with all the appeals.

That means, there are massive backlogs with some appeals not getting the attention they deserve.
