SRD beneficiaries struggling to reactivate grants

JOHANNESBURG - Some Social Relief of Distress beneficiaries are not receiving their grants.

They were referred for verification a week before the June payouts.

But, to do this they have to undergo an online biometric evaluation.

This is virtually impossible for those without smartphones or internet access.

SASSA says this is necessary to root our fraud.
