Socio-economic survey | Trends shaping SA’s future

JOHANNESBURG - Economic stagnation in the country's mostly rural provinces drives people to big cities. 

That's according to a recent survey which looked at all nine provinces. 

It considered key areas including demographics, living conditions, and crime and security.

It shows dependence on struggling primary and secondary industries is a major factor.
