Should we worry about hi-tech world?

JOHANNESBURG - We live in a hi-tech world- should we be concerned?

National Science Week kicks off on Monday.

The Department of Science and Innovation hosts the initiative every year to raise awareness around the important role science, technology, and innovation plays in everyday life.  

Different sessions throughout the week will explore how people, both locally and globally, have become increasingly reliant on technology. There will also be exhibitions of new cutting-edge technologies.

eNCA's Sindy Mabe spoke to the Department of Science and Innovation's Deputy Director for Science Promotion, Livhuwane Masevhe and Crestinah Mudau, a senior software engineer at the CSIR.
