The lekgotla of the ANC’s National Executive Committee wrapped up on Monday ahead of a cabinet lekotla on Wednesday.
That meeting should help inform the President’s state of the nation address next week.
But the DA has reportedly called for an urgent meeting ahead of Wednesday as tensions escalate due to the President signing the Expropriation Bill into law.
It allows for land expropriation with no compensation under certain circumstances.
On Saturday DA leader John Steenhuisen said his party would not be treated like a doormat in the GNU and requested a reset in relations with the ANC.
