School feeding scheme | Food security in doubt

DURBAN - There have been warnings that thousands of learners who rely on school feeding programmes for their daily nutrition could go hungry in Kwazulu-Natal.

The KZN National School Nutrition Programme Business Forum that represents food suppliers in the province says a shortage of food supplies is imminent.

It says that suppliers are concerned they are being asked to provide food items not agreed upon in their contract.
