JOHANNESBURG - The chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Social Development has slammed SASSA following allegations of fraud and corruption at the agency.
SASSA came under the spotlight when 2 Stellenbosch University students uncovered serious flaws in the agency's Social Relief of Distress grant system.
This after they found that their IDs had been used to apply for SRD grants without their knowledge.
The pair presented their findings before the portfolio committee on Wednesday.
For more on this, we speak to portfolio committee chairperson Bridget Masango.
