JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng municipalities should budget for water infrastructure and undertake regular maintenance.
Over the weekend, bulk supplier Rand Water kick-started its maintenance programme, which will interrupt supply for the next five weeks.
Water experts have hailed this move, but say municipalities need to have their own plans in place, to upgrade infrastructure.
