LUSAKA, ZAMBIA - SADC estimates that about 68 million people in Southern Africa are suffering the effects of a drought which has wiped out crops across the region.
This came out of a meeting of heads of state and government of SADC countries held in Zimbabwe.

This is on top of an estimated 58 million people in South Africa and the region facing food insecurity.
