DURBAN - A congestion dilemma has left around seventy thousand shipping containers stranded off the coast of Durban.
Meanwhile, delays of up to two weeks to offload cargo this week prompted shipping line, Maersk, to dump Cape Town as a port of call on a major Far East route. This could affect the festive season shopping and the South African economy as a whole.
Peter Besnard from the South African Association of Ship Operators and Agents spoke on this matter.
