Restore the power grid | Ongoing planned maintenance continues

JOHANNESBURG - Eskom continues to notch up impressive milestones in its bid to end power cuts once and for all.

This week, the power utility celebrates over 150 days and still counting, of no blackouts.

It has maintained constant electricity supply throughout the dreaded winter period.

The generation operational recovery plan, which was launched in March, continues to enhance its efficiencies.

Kusile, Kendal, Majuba, Lethabo and peak demand power stations are also recording an energy availability factor of over 70 percent.

So are we within touching distance of ending blackouts permanently?

Dan Moyane is joined by Electricity Minister Kgosientso Ramokgopa at the Just Energy Transition Municipal Conference at the Gallagher Convention Centre.
