R300 million seed fund launched to support SA tech startups

JOHANNESBURG - In a bid to strengthen South Africa's startup technology sector, the SA Small Medium Enterprise Fund, in collaboration with the Department of Science and Innovation, has launched a R300m Seed Fund.

This initiative aims to provide vital early-stage capital to startups, with the goal of funding at least 50 technology-driven ventures through experienced fund managers.

The focus of this fund will be on promoting innovation and transformation within South Africa's entrepreneurial landscape.
