Preparations for Tito Mboweni memorial, funeral underway

JOHANNESBURG - Preparations continue for the funeral and memorial of former Minister Tito Mboweni.

ANC Limpopo secretary Reuben Matadzhe is expected to visit the Mboweni family on Wednesday afternoon.

Since the announcement of Mboweni's passing over the weekend, numerous dignitaries, political figures and Cabinet colleagues have paid their respects at his homes in both Gauteng and Limpopo.

In recognition of his contributions to the nation, President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared a Special Official Funeral Category 2 in Mboweni’s honor.
