Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises comments on Eskom CEO appointment

JOHANNESBURG - All eyes are on the new Eskom CEO, Dan Marokane.

Public Enterprise Minister Pravin Gordhan announced Marokane will assume his duties no later than the end of March next year.

He takes up the position left vacant by Andre de Ruyter, who resigned in December last year.

The Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises says it hopes the new CEO will be able to pull Eskom out of its crisis.
