NHI Bill encourages use of electronic health records

JOHANNESBURG - It's becoming more evident that digital health will be a major force behind transformin the sector.

The National Digital Health Strategy for South Africa is being developed at a time the country needs to drastically reorganise its healthcare system in order to implement the National Health Insurance.

Through more accessible and cheap healthcare and a decrease in health inequality, electronic health records may help close the healthcare gap in South Africa.
